Community Forest Corporation Completes 1 Year of Operations |
The Vermillion Forks Community Forest Corporation (VFCFC) completed a full year of operations in 2011. The corporation, a partnership between the Town of Princeton, Regional District Okanagan Similkameen and the Upper Similkameen Indian Band, have just completed a full year of operations having been granted a license by the Provincial Government in 2010.

The Town of Princeton was recently awarded over $20,000 to conduct a site investigation on the empty lot adjacent to town hall. The lot, having been vacant since 1996, was purchased by the town in 2009.

Town Enforces Deer Feeding Bylaw |
|
Since it's introduction in 2009, the Town of Princeton has been actively enforcing it's deer feeding bylaw. It wasn't until August, 2008 that municipalities had the authority to regulate the feeding of deer.
In 2008 the provincial government introduced a regulation that provided municipalities the authority to regulate deer feeding.
