| Vacant Lot Gets New Life |
|
September 2011
The Town of Princeton was recently awarded over $20,000 to conduct a site investigation on the empty lot adjacent to town hall. The lot, having been vacant since 1996, was purchased by the town in 2009.
The $20,000 grant from the provincial government's BC Brownfield Renewal Funding Program will give the property a new lease on life by determining if clean-up work, if any, is required. This is the first step of preparing the property for future development. The Town of Princeton is obligated under provincial legislation to do the investigation. |
