 The Town of Princeton Visitor Centre is seeking a hard-working student to fill the   requirements of the HRDC Summer Student grant. This individual will have   knowledge of the Princeton area and British Columbia, ability to work on a   computer, enjoy meeting and greeting people, and is able to assist at local   events. A second language would be beneficial.

 Scope of work

 This position will work under the guidance of the Visitor Centre Coordinator.   Training is provided on a full range of services that increase awareness of local,   regional and provincial tourism opportunities for visitors from all over the world.

Position will answer inquiries from visitors, ensure inventory is stocked, promote local, regional, and BC tourism, encourage stays in our community, handle money, prepare stats on a daily basis, and assist at local events when directed.

The successful candidate is a positive and outgoing individual who enjoys working with people; demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills; has good leadership skills and a sound judgment for quick decision making.


 The candidate should be self-motivated, skilled at public relations; and have   excellent communication skills. Must be a student this year and be returning to   school full time in the Fall.
